Spot was originally supposed to be a headless horseman guy—I considered a dullahan but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for—and then Kid suggested a jinmenju, which is basically a tree that grows fruit that either /is/ or just looks like human heads I forgot what it said. So I started drawing him and he ended up as some kind of cross between the two where like, when he loses his head he can grow a new one, and they’re supposed to be different kinds of squashes or something dfhgjkd I don’t know maybe just pumpkins! His head’s supposed to be similar to a jack-o-lantern, since his eyes/teeth are yellow and the inside would glow faintly.

I wanted his running gag to be him constantly getting decapitated; the head gets knocked off, smashed, carried away, anything like that (the heads become lifeless if not attached to him or if it’s off and intact he can sort of will his consciousness into it and you get that whole “BODY NO I’M OVER HERE—DANGIT BODY YOU DUMB TWIG” schtick) and he’d have to have specific stuff on him to be able to make a new one. Water, obviously, and something else hmmm

His body's the "tree" part uwu And yeah I know pumpkins growing on a tree but HE DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE PERFECT SENSE IT'S NOT REQUIRED DUE TO HIS ENVIRONMENT SHH.
